It is our pleasure to introduce the Money Matters modules on the topic of financial education for young people in Malta.
Young people have to be taught how to enjoy economic and financial independence, how to organise and spend money wisely.
Money Matters deals with twenty topics which aim at preparing young people to make well-informed decisions about their finances at home and on the job.
Money Matters can be included in the curricula of Economics, Business Studies, Life Skills, Personal & Social Development or in other modules. This project was inspired by the Nibud - the National Institute for Budget Information in Utrecht, Holland.
The Nibud promotes a rational planning of family finances and consumer education reflecting the historical expertise of the Dutch in financial matters.
